Pass Pages
This week, I received the pass pages for the US edition of THE DEAD HOUSE and I am SO EXCITED I COULD BURST!!! For those of you who don't know, pass pages are a print-out of your book, laid out exactly how they will be once published. And they are beautiful.
My job, now, is to read them through critically and look for anything that is wrong or needs changing. This might include spelling errors (though another proofreader or two will look for those things), but it's mostly bigger things, like adding or removing sentences, words or descriptions.
I'm really enjoying seeing my manuscript in its laid-out form. It's certainly easier to spot errors when it has an entirely new format and font! It feels like reading it as a reader would, and I just love that.
I can't wait for you guys to see it! Because, honestly, it is so very pretty!
awn, out.
